Our people

Poppy Bilderbeck
Founder
Poppy Bilderbeck is the founder of PRESS(ED). She started her journey as a journalist at the age of 19, writing for a student newspaper amid the coronavirus pandemic. She entered her first full-time, paid job two weeks after graduating.
Poppy’s journalism has always been rooted in mental health. Whether it be raising awareness of challenges students faced during the pandemic, to when she became a full-time journalist and quickly realised despite how amazing a career it is, the very real and severe consequences it can pose to reporters’ mental healths.
Poppy thought up PRESS(ED) several years ago. After losing her mum in 2025 she decided to take the plunge, go freelance and set up PRESS(ED). She champions mental health awareness in everything she can. Whether it be through her journalism to performing spoken word poetry or working alongside some other incredible charities – Poppy a Youth Advisory Board member for Words Matter and the Communications and Impact writer for the Raphael Rowe Foundation – Poppy hopes in everything she does, she can help remind even just one person that they’re not alone.
